When Katrina got all wet and wild

Katrina Kaif hasn't had much time for adventure. But as they say, every cat at has nine lives, and so our Kat recently decided to acquire a taste for thrills. She talks to CS:

High on riding
Recently while shooting for a film in Spain, I had fun learning biking. It took me a week. Riding a bike, and that to a Bullet was like a huge challenge for me. But I was riding like a pro after a week's training. The high of riding a fast bike is something else altogether. I now plan to buy a bike for myself and take it for a spin in and around Mumbai.

Danger underwater
I underwent training for scuba diving under Jasmine Karachiwala at Otters club in Bandra for my new film. I have done some basic scuba diving courses in Mauritius but I am not a certified diver.

Frankly, I am scared of ocean as its dark and mysterious. But since I play the role of a diving instructor in the film, I needed some preparation. So, I did train for week in a swimming pool. Till then it was all fine.

But three months later I was at the end of this huge ship stationed right in the middle of the ocean and I was asked to jump into the water. I almost had a heart attack, but I gathered all the courage possible and jumped in.

I enjoyed the experience but it was only later did I learn that I had a huge fish over my head while I was inside the water. It was fun but I don't think I will try it again.

Lady GaGa Shocks Justin Timberlake in 'SNL' Promo

Justin Timberlake and Lady GaGa pull off their "Saturday Night Live" promo videos sans any of the show's regulars. The host and the musical guest announced their duties for the season finale and slipped in a talk about each other's admiration in fashion.

GaGa gave a sneak peek of their May 21 episode by posting a backstage pic on her Twitter. "Don't be jealous ladies ;). I laughed so hard today I cried," she wrote as caption. Later, TMZ discovered some set photos of Timberlake and Andy Samberg reprising their singing duo who had claimed their fame through "D**k in a Box". But it looks like they would do "Motherlover" 2.0 because Susan Sarandon and Patricia Clarkson were also on set.

Timberlake is selected as host to promote his latest movie, "Bad Teacher" which hits theaters on June 24. GaGa meanwhile is full throttle to promote her second full-length album "Born This Way" which should be in stores May 23.

Selena Gomez Defends Painting Horses for Video Shoot After Pink Blasts Her

Selena Gomez has come to her defense in response to fellow singer Pink who slammed her for allowing horses used in her musicvideo to be painted pink. Through her representative, the "Monte Carlo" movie beauty assured people that the animals were not harmed for the video shoot.

"It was important to the Production Company, Record Label and Ms. Gomez that no animals were harmed and all proper precautions were taken," the rep told the press. "A non toxic, vegetable based powder paint was applied via an airbrush and removed with water. An official from the Humane Society was on set supervising."

Selena used the horses to film visuals for "Love You Like a Love Song", her next single which is taken from her June 28 studio album "When the Sun Goes Down". Sharing screen with Oliver Seitz as her love interest, the 18-year-old pop singer did the shooting on the beach of Malibu in LosAngeles, CA on May 19.

Soon after the set picture, which sees her hitting the shore with pink horses, made their way out on the web, animal lover Pink took to her Twitter to criticize the Disney star. The "Raise Your Glass" hitmaker wrote, "If there are any animal activists around Malibu- at Leo Cabrillo State Beach, there are horses being painted for a stupid music video. Shame."

The avid supporter of PETA went on, "Artists should be more aware and responsible for their actions." She got mixed feedbacks from Tweeps; some praised her for taking a stand against animal cruelty, and the others hit her back. One Twitter user who goes by the name of Yasmine posted, "Talk straight to the person if you r talking about someone! not to the whole world to make her look bad!!"

To some people, supposedly Selena's fans, who were upset with her for speaking up her opinion, Pink wrote, "oh lord, THAT'S whose video it was? Disney fans unite. here we go. RT @PinkFans_ NEWS: @SelenaGomez fans are angry with @Pink." She continued, "whether u r a fan of mine or whomEVER'S, i won't stop speaking out about animal cruelty.i've taken responsibility in the past,so should she."

Haley Reinhart: Judges Tried to Push My Buttons on 'American Idol'

Haley Reinhart came close to be one of the final two contenders on season 10 of "American Idol", but on Thursday night, May 19, she became the eleventh finalist sent home. The morning after her elimination, the 20-year-old from Wheeling, IL spoke to reporters and opened up her thought on why the judges seemed to pick on her.

When asked about the judges' criticism, the third placer admitted she has no clue and added that even fellow contestants like Lauren Alaina would come up to her and said "they just don't understand it." She went on to point out the positive though. "The only thing that I can try to get out of that is that they really just want to try to push my buttons - push me as far as I can possibly go to get whatever they wanted to get out of me," she said.

She continued, "It was, most of the time, fire that they wanted to get out of me - to get all aggravated and then try to take it out on the stage. You know, it is what it is. Randy [Jackson] and all them would tell me, 'It's all love.' And I'm like, 'Alright, well, I understand. You want to see what you can get out of me.' "

On what she was thinking after learning about her elimination, Haley said, "You literally have seconds to think about it. So, I took a second to think about it, and then I said, 'Alright, alright,' and I just kept saying, 'Okay. This is it, and guess what? I have to sing a song in about five seconds.' So I said, 'Let's have a good time with it and show America why they kept me there so long,' hopefully, you know? - give them a good show."

Having said that she was not angry at all about her elimination, the singer who experienced the bottom three four times before stated, "Of course everybody gets surprised when they hear the verdict, but all in all, I accepted it very quickly and took it all in - took it all with a grain of salt. I said, 'Hey! Everything happens for a reason,' and this is a good thing. This happened for a reason and it only means that I'm going to start my career as a solo artist even sooner."

On the question what she would have done differently if she could go back, she responded, "You know, I don't live in regret, really. There's of course going to be some things, and I do nitpick - I'm a Virgo - but other than that, I don't regret anything because each step along this way has gotten me to where I am today."

Addressing rumor of her dating previously-ousted Casey Abrams, Haley shared, "It started a long time ago. I forget which week, but it's when we just started bonded a lot more and getting really close and really could just confide in each other. We had a different kind of connection from the rest, and so we'd sit by each other and all that jazz."

She added, "So, I'm pretty sure that's when it all started, and we laughed about it. I mean, obviously, we have a really, really strong relationship. We're not dating, but just the musicality between us and everything else has just been wonderful."

Asked if the rumors became a distraction for either one of them, she replied, "You know, not really, and we really didn't give into them at all. We never said yes or no. That's probably the better thing to do. It's funny because we got so many questions about it, but either way, that's not going to hurt anybody. We had a lot of fun with it. We played the game. It was fun."

Scotty McCreery Lets Lauren Alaina Choose Singing Order in 'American Idol' Finale

Scotty McCreery has given the right to pick the singing order in "American Idol" finale to Lauren Alaina. The 17-year-old guy won a coin toss to determine who would choose whether to perform first or second next week, but then deferred to Lauren.

Ryan Seacrest tossed a coin, reportedly featuring Scotty's face on one side and Lauren's on the other, which landed on Scotty's side. In a generous manner, however, Scotty asked Lauren if she preferred to go first or second, and the 16-year-old Georgia native chose second.

Scotty and Lauren will be battling it out to be the winner of "American Idol" season 10 after Haley Reinhart was voted off on Thursday, May 19. The top 2 finalists will perform on Tuesday, May 24 from the Nokia Theater in Los Angeles, with the winner announced on Wednesday.

"Never in my wildest dreams would I have ever dreamed I would have made it this far," Scotty confessed how he feels about getting the chance to be in the finale. Meanwhile, Alaina said, "I felt like I was going to pass out. I was crossing my fingers and praying (host Ryan Seacrest) was going to call out my name. I feel so blessed to be here, I cannot believe it."

Matthew Modine and Tom Conti Join THE DARK KNIGHT RISES [UPDATED]

Just yesterday production began on what will be director Christopher Nolan’s final film in his Batman trilogy: The Dark Knight Rises. Today, the viral campaign for the film kicked off, giving us our first look at Tom Hardy as Bane, and now two more actors have been added to the cast.Variety reports that Matthew Modine and Tom Conti have signed on to the film. With the plot under lock and key, there’s no word on who the two actors will be playing. However, since this is Batman and every piece of news is greeted with fanfare, I wouldn’t be surprised if the two play fairly minor roles. Nolan similarly cast known actors in smaller parts for the last two Batman flicks (Anthony Michael Hall, Rutger Hauer, etc.).
The Dark Knight Rises also stars Christian Bale, Anne Hathaway, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Marion Cotillard, Morgan Freeman, Gary Oldman, and Michael Caine.  It opens July 20, 2012.
[Update: Variety's story has been updated to say that 11-year-old Joey King (Ramona and Beezus) has joined the cast as well]

Tom Cruise Confirmed for Joseph Kosinski’s OBLIVION

Tom Cruise has committed to star in Tron: Legacy director Joseph Kosinski’s sci-fi flick Oblivion(also referred to as Horizons). Kosinski was originally going to make the film at Disney, until the Mouse House decided the PG-13 material didn’t fit with their model and dropped the film. They allowed the director to shop the project around, and it landed at Universal with a budget of $100 million. The script, originally written by William Monahan then rewritten by Karl Gajdusek, is based on an idea hatched by Kosinski himself.
The story takes place in an apocalyptic future where humans have been forced to live in clouds above the uninhabitable Earth below. Deadline reports that Cruise will play a soldier stuck on the planet, working on drones that patrol the surface searching out and destroying a “savage” alien life form. Naturally, he meets a woman who crash-lands and gets him thinking about his larger role in life. Production begins this October. The report also states that Cruise has also been mentioned in connection with Guillermo del Toro’s Pacific Rim. More after the jump.
oblivion-comic-book-coverCruise and del Toro were originally set to team up on the visionary director’s ambitious adaptation of H.P. Lovecraft’s At the Mountains of Madness. However, even with Cruise attached to star and James Cameron producing, Universal couldn’t come to terms with the $200+ million budget for the R-rated horror film and passed on the project.
With Madness dead for the moment, del Toro decided to next helm the futuristic monster film Pacific Rim. Charlie Hunnam is set to star, but the report on Oblivion states that Cruise has been mentioned as circling Pacific Rim and is currently “talking” about possibly appearing. While it’s stressed that his participation isn’t certain, it’s definitely a possibility.
Cruise is currently filming Adam Shankman’s musical adaptation Rock of Ages, and will be seen in Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol when the Brad Bird-helmed flick hits theaters on December 16th.

Justin Bieber to Launch Women's Fragrance

Having launched a nail polish line and a unisex fragrance, Justin Bieber is expanding his brand further with women's perfume. The "Baby" hitmaker's scent, "Someday", will appeal to girls from 14- to 18-year-old. Women's World Daily (WWD) reported that it is created by Honorine Blanc of Firmenich and is described as a "fruity gourmand".

On the reason behind, the 17-year-old heartthrob told the fashion trade journal, "Let's be real, the way a girl smells is very important to a guy." He elaborated further his remark as explaining, "I have such a deep connection with my fans, so creating a fragrance that I personally love is another way I can bring them closer to my world."

The singer boyfriend of Selena Gomez added that he was on hand in the development of the product. "They really let me take the lead on the entire project, because I know my fans better than anyone - from working with the team on the development of the fragrance itself to helping to design the bottle and packaging," so he claimed.

"Someday" is set to hit department and specialty stores in June, and Justin will donate all proceeds of the $35 scent to charity. WWD reported that its ad campaign features Dree Hemingway and was shot by Terry Richardson. A TV commercial, filmed in a gravity-free cabin of a Boeing 737 NASA training jet, is scheduled for broadcast from Black Friday after Thanksgiving through Christmas.

Taking the most nods are the likes of Rihanna, Eminem and Lady GaGa who frequently occupied the Billboard charts during the period of February 28, 2010 through March 1, 2011.

'Transformers 3' 3D Trailer Adds Optimus Prime in Action

New trailer of "Transformers: Dark of the Moon" shows that the upcoming movie is possibly the best of the franchise. Packed with action and loaded with impressive visual effects, the trailer includes the expansive 3D technology that Michael Bay discussed earlier in a panel he attended with James Cameron.

The new 3D trailer is set to play in front of Disney's "Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides" on Friday, May 20 but it was released online a day early. The video may have the same structure to the first trailer that was released earlier this month, but this one adds a few seconds of awesome Optimus Prime scene at the end.

Bay said that one of things that make this third installment the best is because there was no pressure. "We might have gone a little bit south on 'Transformers 2,' but it was a tough position to be in," he said. "You promise 1,000 people jobs and a lot of these crew members have been with me 16, 18 years. They have families. How do you keep the ball going?"

This time, Ehren Kruger had eight months to finish the screenplay and Bay managed to persuade the city of Chicago to give a full access to their landmarks. "They let us do anything we wanted," Bay said. The film hits theaters June 29, a few days earlier than the previously-scheduled July 1 release.

Bids on Princess Beatrice' Royal Wedding Hat Exceed $100K

The bidding race to get the wacky hat Princess Beatrice wore to the April 29 wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton has passed the $100,000 mark. With just two days left in the auction, the bids for the Philip Treacy's creation reached the prize of $121,422.83. There have been 101 bids placed for the headpiece.

The auction on eBay, which started with an opening bid of $8,229, will end Sunday, May 22. All the proceeds from the sale will go to UNICEF and for Children in Crisis. Of the hat, Princess Beatrice said, "I've been amazed by the amount of attention the hat has attracted. It's a wonderful opportunity to raise as much money as possible for two fantastic charities. I hope whoever wins the auction has as much fun with the hat as I have."

Both charities have released statement over the British royal's initiative to auction her hat for good cause. Koy Thomson, the Chief Executive of Children in Crisis, said, "Princess Beatrice is a tremendous ambassador for the charity and we are extremely grateful for her support with this great initiative.

UNICEF U.K.'s Director of Fundraising, Julie Weston, said in another statement, "UNICEF U.K. is absolutely delighted that Beatrice is putting all of the publicity around her hat to the best possible use, raising money for the world's most vulnerable children. We take our hat off to her for helping UNICEF to change children's lives."

'American Idol' Result: Scotty Goes to Finale as Haley Eliminated

"American Idol" top 2 have been revealed on Thursday, May 19. Based on 95 million votes that came in for the three contestants' performances, Scotty McCreery and Lauren Alaina nabbed the two spots in the finale, while Haley Reinhart had to go home.

Haley took a tumble during the performance show on May 18 when singing Led Zeppelin's "What Is and What Should Never Be". She got right back up and completed her song, and Jennifer Lopez praised her, "I've fallen, Beyonce's fallen ... You keep going. It's a sign of a professional who knows what they're doing."

Aside from the stage mishap, Haley's singing impressed judges as well. She won the first round where the finalists chose their own songs, after Randy Jackson declared it was one of Haley's best performances ever.

The result show was kicked off with a promo for upcoming movie "Super 8" where Scotty, Lauren and Haley were joined by fourth placer James Durbin to visit Bad Robot to see some scenes from the J.J. Abrams-directed film. Performing that night were Italian trio Il Volo who sang "O Sole Mio", and Nicole Scherzinger who collaborated with 50 Cent to sing "Right There".

'The Governator' on Hold Due to Arnold Schwarzenegger's Personal Issues

"The Governator" is reportedly the latest victim of Arnold Schwarzenegger's marital woe. Contrary to previous report that the former California governor's infidelity scandal would not affect the TV series, a rep for the project has just said that "Governator" is now on hold.

"In light of recent events, A Squared Entertainment, POW, Stan Lee Comics, and Archie Comics, have chosen to not go forward with the Governator project," the rep told TMZ. It is not clear whether the project is completely dead or is just postponed until the buzz regarding Schwarzenegger's personal issues is over.

Just hours before, the "Terminator" star's lawyer Patrick Knapp announced that he delays his return to acting career. "At the request of Arnold Schwarzenegger, we asked Creative Artists Agency to inform all his motion picture projects currently underway or being negotiated to stop planning until further notice," he said in a statement.

"Gov. Schwarzenegger is focusing on personal matters and is not willing to commit to any production schedules or timelines. The movies 'Cry Macho, the 'Terminator' franchise and other projects under consideration," the statement continued. "We will resume discussions when Gov. Schwarzenegger decides."

Arnold Schwarzenegger was supposed to provide voice for a character based on himself on "Governator". It follows the actor who creates a secret identity as a crime fighter beneath his home - so secret that even his wife, Maria, and kids are unaware - after leaving the governor's office.

Andy Heyward, CEO of A2, recently assured that no changes will be made to the series despite Schwarzenegger's separation from wife Maria Shriver. "A2's Governator animated series and its lore is fictional and stands on its merits," he stated at that time, before adding "Of course we wish the family the best in this challenging time."

Jennifer Aniston Not Dating Justin Theroux, Rep Insists

There's no romance brewing between Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux. X17Online recently reported that the "Wanderlust" co-stars have enjoyed a romantic dinner together on Wednesday night, May 18, at West Hollywood's Sunset Towers Tower Bar, but a representative for Jennifer was quick to pour cold water to the story.

To People Magazine, Jennifer's rep clarified, "It was a group dinner with six people. It was not a romantic dinner." A source also insisted that Jennifer and Justin "are great friends". Of the Wednesday outing, the source said, "Jen was in a great mood and seemed happy to take Justin to her favorite restaurant. They seemed happy and were flirty, but didn't act like a couple."

While slamming the romantic dinner claim, the source didn't deny that Jennifer and Justin have spent a lot of time together lately. "When Justin is in L.A. from New York, he and Jen have spent a lot of time together lately," said the source who also noted that although the 42-year-old actress and the 39-year-old actor arrived separately at the restaurant, they came from and returned to her house.

Earlier, X17Online reported that the Wednesday dinner date wasn't the first for Jennifer and Justin. "Jen and Justin have recently started dating," the gossip site cited a source as reporting. "They've known each other for a while, but they're more than friends now. They're cautious - they're both taking it slowly."

Video: 'South Park' Takes on Arnold Schwarzenegger's Love Child Scandal

Arnold Schwarzenegger's marital woe has been spoofed on "South Park". The former Californiagovernor's love child scandal, which has just been made public earlier this week, is mentioned in an episode aired Wednesday, May 18 as Butters confuses Schwarzenegger's real life with his character's in "Terminator 5".

In a scene set at lunchroom, Butters describes a trailer for the not-yet-released movie, telling his friends that Terminator has an illegitimate child and that Skeletor wants to fight him over it. "No, dude. That's not the trailer for 'Terminator 5' that really happened," another boy responds to Butters' story.

When confused Butters asks if Skeletor is real, his friend replies, "No, dude. That's not Skeletor that's Terminator's wife."

Arnold Schwarzenegger fell from grace after he revealed that he fathered a child from another woman ten years ago while he is married to MariaShriver. Mildred Patricia Baena, a former housekeeper for the 63-year-old actor's family, was later identified as the mother of his love child.

Vin Diesel Stars and Produces 'The Machine' for MGM

Vin Diesel is to produce and star in an action comedy "The Machine" which is to start production in fall. Diesel is producing under his Diesel's One Race Films umbrella, and distributor MGM is still looking for a director. For MGM, this is the first production after the reconstitution.

"We could not be happier to be partnering with Vin again, especially on a film with such classic themes that will appeal to his broad audience around the world," said Glickman, MGM Motion Picture Group president.

Diesel is to slip in the role of a human-like machine which is designed as the world's first ultimate weapon, used and sworn in secrecy by Pentagon. The Machine was later decommissioned and buried but was discovered, reactivated and befriended by a kid 20 years later. The government found out that it is back in operation and The Machine makes it its mission to protect the kid and the family that harbors it.

Script comes from "Night at the Museum" writers Thomas Lennon and Robert Ben Garant. These two also wrote "The Pacifier" which was starring Diesel. Deadline said the movie is developed in hope of a franchise.
