'True Blood' Season Finale Spoiler: Sookie Has Big Role in Witches Vs. Vampires War

With only a few weeks away from the season 4 finale of "True Blood", HBO has released desscriptions of the last two episodes. Containing some spoilery details, the synopsis reveal how Sookie will take the matter into her own hand in the showdown between witches and vampires which put the ones she loves in danger.

"As the Wiccan-vampire standoff reaches a critical juncture, Sookie summons her faerie powers to prevent Marnie from bewitching Bill, Eric and Pam into a suicide march, while Jesus casts a secret spell designed to un-bind Marnie/Antonia and break the witch's deadly defenses," description of the September 4 episode titled "Soul of Fire" read.

Also in the penultimate episode, "Sam settles a score with Marcus; Alcide confronts Debbie about her allegiances; Andy finds unexpected passion in the forest; Lafayette is consumed by the past."

Meanwhile, the September 11 finale is set during "Samhain, Wicca's greatest holy day", when spirits of the dead surface in Bon Temps. This gives Sookie "valuable allies to combat Marnie's newest incarnation." The synopsis also reveals that "Lafayette's latest medium encounter imperils his relationship with Jesus", while "Jason finds confession good for the soul, but not the body."

"Alcide makes a heartfelt appeal to the woman he loves; Terry receives an unexpected visitor at Merlotte's; Sam and Luna envision a storybook ending, for once; Nan wears out her welcome with Bill and Eric. Debbie confronts Sookie and Tara with deadly consequences, and the denizens of Bon Temps brace for a new crisis with a familiar face."

Sookie will actually start using her power to intervene Marnie's plan to kill Bill in next week's episode of "True Blood". In the August 28 outing, she summons her most potent powers and breaks a spell in the process.

'Pretty Little Liars' Midseason Finale Preview: Emily's Life at Stake

The four Liars must pay the price after sharing their secrets about "A" to Dr. Anne Sullivan. In the midseason finale of "Pretty Little Liars", "A" sends the girls on a hunt to destroy lives in order to save their trusted confidant.

The missions will ultimately lead to what the four liars want the most, but at a costly price to their loved ones and themselves. The one whose life will be put at stake is none other than Emily. In a preview to the upcoming episode, she is seen trapped in a garage and passing out.

The other girls are digging the soil, probably in an attempt to save their friend. Meanwhile, Emily will somehow have another encounter with Alison who says that she knows who "A" is.

Dishing on next week's outing titled "Over My Dead Body", showrunner Marlene King recently told Wetpaint Entertainment that the episode will open with the girls finding themselves at the police station with many questions to answer. "Then it cuts to 12 hours earlier. They're standing on Dr. Sullivan's porch, and they're trying to find her because she has gone missing," she said.

"Pretty Little Liars" summer finale will air Tuesday, August 30 at 8/7c on ABC Family.

Paris Hilton's Latest Reality Show May Not Last Beyond Season 1

Paris Hilton's latest attempt in unscripted series world is reportedly going be a short-lived one. While Oxygen has not officially announced the fate of "The World According to Paris",New York Magazine's Vulture learns that the network has no plans to pick up the show for a second season.

Debuting with only around 400,000 viewers in June, the reality series revolving around the hotel heiress was sinking even lower in subsequent airings. For comparison, "The Glee Project", which debuted with modest rating in June, continued garnering viewers with 1.2 million people tuning in the season finale last Sunday, August 21.

Talks about renewal for the singing competition have begun even before the show wrapped up its first season. Though the network has not officially given a greenlight to the second season, executive producer Michael Davies said in early this month that "a lot of the planning is starting to happen."

Over at another network, Lifetime's "Roseanne's Nuts" also looks gloomy. The show starring Roseanne Barr premiered with respectable 1.5 million viewers, but the number gradually dropped to 764,000 viewers as of August 10.

Commenting on the reality series' future, a representative for the network said, "No decision on season two yet but we are happy with its performance this season."

'Desperate Housewives' Finale May Take a Huge Leap and Feature Death

Fans may get a glimpse of what happens to Wisteria Lane's residents in the next few decades before bidding farewell to "Desperate Housewives". Showrunner Bob Daily confirms that there have been discussions to feature a huge leap in the series finale which is set to air next year.

"Viewers have spent eight years' worth of Sundays on Wisteria Lane, and we feel like that street is a character on the show," he explains. "And whether the women [still live there] or not, we want to give some kind of sense of what will be happening on Wisteria Lane in the future... and leave them with the feeling that life goes on."

Daily also hints that one main character will probably meet his/her demise in the series finale, but it won't be one of the four core housewives. Giving assurance that Susan, Lynette, Bree and Gabrielle will be very much alive at the end of the show, he says, "We feel very protective of our four main women. Which is not to say that one of our [other] main, top 10 characters won't bite it. We have talked about that."

The eighth and final season of "Desperate Housewives" will kick off Sunday, September 25 at 9/8c on ABC. Creator Marc Cherry has previously shared his plans to "pay homage to everyone who's been there before and been on the show" for the last episode.

New Teasers of 'Walking Dead' Season 2 Full of Chilling Terrors

Four new teasers for "The Walking Dead" season 2 have been released, highlighting the dark and chilling moments that will still be part of the next chapter. While giving a look at how the walkers spread terror among humans, one of the videos also gives an advice that keeping silent is the best way to avoid being attacked by the zombies.

Unlike the first season which was mainly set in the city centers, the second season will see many actions set in the woods. "We're gonna see a lot of rural roads and open fields see how bad things are as you get away from the city centers," executive producer Robert Kirkman teased.

AMC will begin airing the new episodes of "The Walking Dead" on Sunday, October 16. The show recently underwent a major change in the crew line-up, with Glen Mazzara replacing Frank Darabont as the showrunner.

Lindsay Lohan Sues Pitbull for Defamation in His Song

Just hours after it was reported that Lindsay Lohan is rejected by "Magic Mike" director Steven Soderbergh, comes a new report that shows how the actress can find another way to earn money. She has filed a lawsuit against rapper Pitbull for naming her in the lyrics of his hit "Give Me Everything".

"Hustlers move aside, so I'm tiptoein, keep flowin'/I got it locked up like Lindsay Lohan," says the song which was co-written by Ne-Yo and Afrojack. Lindsay said in her court documents, "...the lyrics, by virtue of its wide appeal, condemnation, excoriation, disparaging or defamatory statements by the defendants about the plaintiff are destined to do irreparable harm to the plaintiff."

Lindsay is still trying to rebuild her image after the multiple DUI, assault and stolen necklace cases. In the lawsuit, she mentioned that she is "a professional actor of good repute and standing in the Screen Actors Guild, is suing under the New York civil rights laws, which protects people from having their name exploited for commercial purposes."

With Stephanie Ovadia as her lawyer, Lindsay wants Pitbull to stop broadcasting the song. No amount of compensation is revealed.

Selena Gomez to Host MTV VMAs Pre-Show, Cobra Starship to Perform

Selena Gomez has been chosen to host 2011 MTV Video Music Awards. The "Who Says" singer is going to interview celebrities and musicians walking down the black carpet rolled out in front of LosAngeles' Nokia Theatre on August 28.

"I am very excited to be a part of the 2011 VMAs! After all of my years watching the VMAs, the pre-show has always been one of my favorite parts. It is a true honor to be hosting from the black carpet this year," she gushed.

The young songstress will get help from some MTV personalities as well as fellow artist Cobra Starship. The Gabe Saporta-fronted band are going to perform Sabi-assisted dance track "You Make Me Feel".

"We are so excited to be a part of the 2011 VMAs! I grew up watching them every year and it was an honor to be nominated two years ago and it is an even bigger honor to be able to play the pre-show this year," said guitarist Ryland Blackinton. "I will never forget when Pat Smear left the Foo Fighters live during the pre-show, and I'm planning on having him replace me this year."

2011 MTV VMAs will be opened by Lady GaGa. Joining her on the performer list are Lil Wayne, Chris Brown, Adele, and Bruno Mars. The presenters, meanwhile, are Jonah Hill, Rick Ross, Selena Gomez, Seth Rogen, Kim Kardashian and Odd Future Wolf Gang Kill Them All.

Two tributes have been prepared by MTV this year. One is going to salute Britney Spears and will likely get a dose of Michael Jackson, Madonna and Janet Jackson as the Southern Belle's music inspirations. The other is to remember MTV's "very near and dear" friend Amy Winehouse.

Days leading to the live telecast, MTV will reveal some behind-the-scene stories about last year's show in a special segment called "VMAs Revealed" which is airing this weekend. They will unveil stories behind Rihanna's red wig and Justin Bieber's outdoor performance among other things.

Teasing what to expect, MTV revealed that when Rihanna's wig arrived, it was orange, not red like she wanted it to be. Celebrity hairstylist Ursula Stephen said, "I'm telling you, bright orange, straight-up Nicki Minaj orange. And she's flipping out."

As for Bieber's outdoor performance, it was told that host Chelsea Handler was meant to stand at the front row holding a banner read, "Chelsea hearts Justin," but a throng of the Beliebers drowned her. "I think you can see her sign bobbing around, you just can't see her head," MTV News VP Ryan Kroft said.

Demi Lovato Unveils Official 'Unbroken' Cover Art

One day after having an early birthday celebration, Demi Lovatounwrapped the first page of her new album "Unbroken". She's seen distancing herself from her image as Disney's child actress by showing more mature image. In the cover art, she wears a fur ensemble and applies a dark-colored lipstick.

The unveiling of the cover art seems to be Demi's way to thank fans for sending her birthday wishes. "I have THE BEST FANS EVER!!! Thank you so much for all the early Birthday wishes," she tweeted. "To show my appreciation I thought I would give you a little present...look closely!!!"

The album is scheduled to make its way out in the United States on September 20. It has already been preceded by its lead single "Skyscraper" which peaked at No. 10 on Billboard Hot 200. Details about other tracks in the album remain scarce, but rumor suggested she has hit studio with Missy Elliott and Timbaland.

The report was sort of confirmed by Ryan Tedder who helps Demi finish the album. "There's even like a little rap feature on it," he said. "She's got a couple features on this album, one in particular that is going to shock everybody. I was like, 'How did you get this person? They're impossible to get and you got them!' "

The OneRepublic frontman also praised the former "Sonny with a Chance" star. He gushed, "Demi blew me out of the water vocally! I had no idea how good her voice is. She's one of the best singers I've ever worked with. Literally, that good...I mean, she's a Kelly Clarkson-level vocalist. And Kelly has a set of pipes."

Lovato indeed delivered a solid vocal performance at Do Something Awards recently. Wearing a long dress, she was introduced by Kim Kardashian before belting out the emotional lyrics of newly-released "Skyscraper". At the event, she brought home Best Charity Song for her duet with Joe Jonas in "Make a Wave".

The "Camp Rock" actress recently celebrated the victory by tweeting her ex-boyfriend, "@joejonas Yayy! We won :)" The Jonas Brothers member replied her with the same enthusiasm, "Wow! @ddlovato Congrats dem! Super awesome!!"

Snippet of Alice Cooper's 'What Baby Wants' Ft. Ke$ha

Alice Cooper's rock-meet-dancepop song which features Ke$ha has been teased in a more-than-one-minute snippet. Called "What Baby Wants", the new track is recorded for the rocker's upcoming studio installment "Welcome 2 My Nightmare".

In the track, Alice and Ke$ha take turn in singing the lead. When it's the 63-year-old rocker who screams the lyrics, Ke$ha will be the back-up singer. Talking about the song, he told Ultimate Classic Rock earlier this month, "She actually plays the Devil in this thing."

"When she decides that it's time for her to get paid - you know, there's always that 'I need your soul now' kind of moment - and I'm trying to talk my way out of it, she goes 'Oh no no no, what baby wants, baby gets.' That's the song," he explained. "I wrote it with her and Bob Ezrin and the song is very cool."

Calling the "Tik Tok" hitmaker an old friend of his, Alice praised her, "You watch, she's gonna end up being a rock singer, not a disco singer. She wants to be, you know, she wants to be Robert Plant, and she's a big tall American girl and she could really do it."

First Look at Leona Lewis' 'Collide' Music Video

Leona Lewis gives a sneak peek at her upcoming music videosupporting new single "Collide". The former winner of "The X Factor" posted an official still on her official website and Facebook to tease what to expect from the clip.

The picture features 26-year-old Leona standing on an empty beach while reaching out her hand. She's wearing a white long flowing skirt and a rainbow-colored bikini top. "The brand new Collide video coming very soon!" she wrote on Facebook.

The video shoot reportedly took place in a Malibu beach, and didn't go smoothly. A source told the Daily Mirror, "One of the cameras was damaged during filming, and a strong wave washed it out to sea."

"Collide" is the first official offering from Leona's upcoming studio album which is yet to be titled. The release of the single was marred with copyright infringement issue which was quickly settled before the case was taken to the court.
